FAQ Troubleshooting
How do I use Analytic Index in-app filters and date pickers?
Filters in Analytic Index allow you to narrow results by retailer, department, category, brand, keyword, item, and more. To apply filters:
- Use the filter panel at the top of each report to select values. Autocomplete suggestions will appear as you type — use these to ensure correct spelling and Category ID formatting.
- Use the More button to access additional filters that are hidden by default.
- Use the date picker to set a custom date range or select a preset (e.g., last 13 weeks, year-over-year).
Tip: Save frequently used filter combinations as a named filter set for quick access in future sessions. Saved sets are specific to your user profile.
Why do I see data for one retailer but not another?
Retailer coverage depends on your Analytic Index subscription. Covered retailers include Amazon US, Walmart, Target, Amazon Canada, Amazon EU (UK, DE, FR, IT, ES), Walmart Canada, and Kroger. If a retailer is missing from your view, contact your account manager to confirm your subscription scope.
Note: Retailer data cannot currently be compared side-by-side in a single view — retailers must be reviewed sequentially. Category taxonomies also differ across retailers, so direct category-level comparisons require some normalization.
What should I do if I see unexpected or missing data?
Start by checking the Analytic Index Knowledge Base (knowledge.analyticindex.com) for any published data outages or known issues affecting your retailer or category. If no outage is listed and the issue persists, contact support@analyticindex.com with:
- The report name and retailer
- The brand, category, or keyword affected
- The date range and filters applied
- A screenshot if available
