FAQ Advertising & Integrations

How do I set up the Walmart Ad Audit?

To activate Walmart Ad Audit, send an email to audit@analyticindex.com and your Analytic Index point of contact with:

  1. All WMT Connect Account IDs you want to add.
  2. Verbal consent confirming Analytic Index can access these accounts.
  3. (Optional) Which Analytic Index account each WMT Connect ID should be mapped to, if you have multiple Analytic Index accounts.

Once received, Analytic Index will forward the request to the WMT Connect team to activate API access. Your point of contact will notify you once the Walmart Ad Audit is live.

How do I authorize Amazon API connections (Vendor Central, Seller Central, Advertising)?

Navigate to https://app.analyticindex.com/account/authorizations, then click Add Authorization and select the Amazon account type. The authorization steps are the same for Vendor Central, Seller Central, and Amazon Advertising:

  1. Select the Marketplace you are authorizing. Note: Each region (e.g., US vs. EU) must be authorized separately.
  2. Click Authorize and log in to your Amazon account in the popup.
  3. Grant the Analytic Index app access, then select which Analytic Index account to map the data to.

Data is typically available within 2 business days after authorization.

For Amazon Advertising accounts with multiple sub-accounts: each will appear in Analytic Index and must be individually mapped or excluded. You can revoke access at any time via the Analytic Index app or your Amazon account settings.

Why does Analytic Index need API data access?

Analytic Index uses Amazon API data (Vendor Central, Seller Central, and Advertising) to provide insights into search performance, advertising efficiency, sales, traffic, and conversion. This data is combined with Analytic Index's proprietary metrics to generate estimates such as advertising spend and category sales share.

All client API data is kept strictly confidential and is never shared with any third party. You may revoke access at any time.

Do I need to provide my own sales or advertising data to use Analytic Index?

No. Analytic Index does not require access to your internal sales, operational, or advertising data for the majority of platform capabilities. The platform's core features — competitive intelligence, keyword tracking, share of voice, share of sales estimates, and more — are powered by publicly available data and Analytic Index's proprietary algorithms.

The only exceptions the Advertising Audit, which is an opt-in feature that uses your retailer advertising console report data to evaluate the efficiency of your ad strategy; and 1p reports referenced above.
