How does this impact my data?
The impact for this issue is temporary and only affects the dates listed in the impacted timeframe. Most keywords were impacted by the issue and were crawled an average of 2.5 times a week rather than 7 times a week. This means that sponsorship activity and search visibility could be negatively impacted and show artificially low values in the impacted period.
In addition to fewer crawls on our main keyword set, this issue resulted in additional crawls on keywords not usually included in our crawl. These additional keywords may result in artificially high keyword counts at the brand and category level.
As the missed keyword crawls are on high-volume keywords and the extra crawls are on low-volume keywords, search visibility scores (which are based on a combination of crawl and search volume) will usually be artificially low in the impacted period.
Estimated search volume by keyword is not impacted by this issue.
Recommended Workaround
We do not have a recommended workaround at this time as data was collected in the period as best as possible.. To minimize impact you can use longer time periods to identify trends.
