Q2 2024 Dip in Search Visibility

From the weeks of May 12th through July 13th, there is a noticeable dip in Search Visibility for most users.

From the weeks of May 12th through July 13th, The search algorithm for Amazon, Walmart and Target in the US had the following issues:


  • Our algorithm to determine which keywords to crawl missed a portion of keywords for those days. So some keywords weren't crawled.
  • We expect keywords on our lists to be crawled each day, and this issue resulted in some keywords not being crawled intermittently during this period.
  • On days where we failed to crawl a keyword, there will be full-day gaps in that keyword's data.
  • At the aggregate level, because of the keywords we're missing there will likely be dips in keyword count, search visibility, and sponsorship activity



The problem has been rectified.
