Troubleshooting Report Server Access Due to Xfinity/Comcast Network Outage

Beginning 16 December 2024, some Xfinity/Comcast customers have been unable to access the Analytic Index reporting server.

Resolution Update

This issue with Xfinity/Comcast appears to have been resolved late 18 December 2024. If you continue to experience problems accessing Analytic Index reports, please contact our support staff.

Impact

  • Inability to run or access Analytic Index reports
  • Slow or inconsistent connectivity to Analytic Index reports

Other ISPs are not affected by this issue.

If you are affected by this Xfinity/Comcast network problem, we recommend contacting your Xfinity provider for support. Some information you may need:

  • Host IP: 34.83.210.207 (Analytic Index reporting server)

Workarounds

We recommend using a VPN if you are affected by this outage. Here are some options we have found to work:

  • NordVPN, ExpressVPN, ProtonVPN, or other public VPN providers. This is not an endorsement or recommendation of any particular VPN provider.
  • Do-it-yourself VPN (e.g., OpenVPN or WireGuard)
  • Apple's Private Relay (Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Turn on Private Relay); this may require an iCloud subscription to be enabled and only works on Apple devices

VPNs reroute your internet traffic, bypassing the Xfinity/Comcast networks.
